Overview

The Preparatory Committee was held in the Palais des Nations from 26 to 27 April 2016 and resumed its work from 8 to 12 August 2016.

The Preparatory Committee prepared the way for the Eighth Review Conference of the Biological Weapons Convention, which took place in Geneva from 7 to 25 November 2016.

The Meeting of States Parties in December 2015 approved the nomination of Ambassador György Molnár of Hungary as President of the Review Conference and Chairman of the Preparatory Committee.
