Ambassadeur, Représentant Permanent de la République de Côte d'Ivoire près l'Office des Nations Unies et des Autres Organisations Internationales à Genève.

L'Ambassadeur, Kouadio ADJOUMANI est né en 1952 à Gouméré, dans la Préfecture de Bondoukou, au Nord-Est de la Côte d'Ivoire.
Après son Baccalauréat littéraire en 1973 et une Licence en anglais à l'Université Sorbonne Paris IV (France) en 1977, il obtient successivement les diplômes en Relations Internationales à l'EFAP de Paris (France) en 1976 et à l'Université libre de Bruxelles (Belgique) en 1978, puis celui du Cycle supérieur de l'Ecole Nationale d'Administration (ENA) de Côte d'Ivoire, section - diplomatie en 1979.
Diplomate de carrière, !'Ambassadeur ADJOUMANI intègre le Ministère des Affaires Etrangères en 1979 et exerce sa carrière diplomatique tant au Département Central que dans les Représentations diplomatiques à l'extérieur où il occupe de hautes fonctions.
En effet, ce diplomate chevronné a exercé les fonctions de Premier Conseiller en Allemagne, de 1983 à 1987, puis de Conseiller à la Mission Permanente de Côte d'Ivoire auprès des Nations Unies et autres Organisations Internationales en Suisse et à Vienne en Autriche de 1987 à 1994.
Promu Ambassadeur depuis 1994, il a assumé successivement les charges de Chef de Cabinet du Ministre des Affaires Etrangères et d'Ambassadeur Extraordinaire et Plénipotentiaire de la République de Côte d'Ivoire près le Royaume de Grande Bretagne et d'Irlande du Nord, puis de Conseiller diplomatique du Premier Ministre en 2002.
En 2008, il ouvre à La Haye, la toute première Ambassade de Côte d'Ivoire, en qualité d'Ambassadeur Extraordinaire et Plénipotentiaire de la Côte d'Ivoire au Royaume des Pays-Bas et cumulativement Représentant Permanent près l'Organisation pour l'interdiction des Armes Chimiques (OIAC).
En 2011, il est accrédité en qualité d'Ambassadeur, Représentant Permanent auprès des Nations Unies, de l'Organisation Mondiale du Commerce et des autres Organisations Internationales à Genève, et d'Ambassadeur Extraordinaire et Plénipotentiaire auprès de la Confédération Suisse à Berne.
Depuis le 11 décembre 2015, il est également accrédité près la Principauté de Liechtenstein.
Son Excellence A JOUMANI est Commandeur de !'Ordre National ivoirien. Il est marié et père de trois (03) enfants.

Ambassador, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire to the United Nations Office and Other International Organisations in Geneva.  

Ambassador Kouadio ADJOUMANI was born in 1952 in Gouméré, in the Prefecture of Bondoukou, in north-eastern Côte d'Ivoire.  

After obtaining his Baccalauréat in Literature in 1973 and a Bachelor’s degree in English from the Sorbonne University Paris IV (France) in 1977, he went on to obtain degrees in International Relations from the EFAP in Paris (France) in 1976 and the Free University of Brussels (Belgium) in 1978, followed by a postgraduate qualification from the National School of Administration (ENA) of Côte d'Ivoire, specialising in diplomacy, in 1979.  

A career diplomat, Ambassador ADJOUUMANI joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1979 and pursued his diplomatic career both at the Central Department and in diplomatic missions abroad, where he held senior posts.  

Indeed, this seasoned diplomat served as First Counsellor in Germany from 1983 to 1987, then as Counsellor at the Permanent Mission of Côte d’Ivoire to the United Nations and other international organisations in Switzerland and Vienna, Austria, from 1987 to 1994.  

Promoted to Ambassador in 1994, he successively held the posts of Chief of Staff to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Côte d’Ivoire to the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and then Diplomatic Adviser to the Prime Minister in 2002.  

In 2008, he opened the very first Embassy of Côte d’Ivoire in The Hague, in his capacity as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Côte d’Ivoire to the Kingdom of the Netherlands and concurrently Permanent Representative to the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW).   In 2011, he was accredited as Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations, the World Trade Organisation and other international organisations in Geneva, and as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Swiss Confederation in Bern.  

Since 11 December 2015, he has also been accredited to the Principality of Liechtenstein.  

His Excellency ADJOUMANI is a Commander of the Ivorian National Order. He is married and the father of three (03) children.
